Kozhikode Kappad Beach in Kerala is among the 8 beaches in India in the ‘Blue Flag’ certification list

Kozhikode Kappad Beach is one of the fascinadoras destinations in the map of Kerala. Kappad Beach is one of the eight beaches in India, Kozhikode district in the state of Kerala, India.

The other seven beaches are Shivarajpur (Gujarat), Gogola (DU), Kasaragod, Padubidri (Karnataka), Rushikonda (Andhra Pradesh), Suvarna (Odisha) and Radhanagar (Andaman and Nicobar Islands).

In July last year, the Indian government shortlisted Kappad Beach out of 12 such beaches for Blue Flag certification. Prior to this, no beach in the country had a Blue Flag certification.

Kappad Beach, located away from the hustle and bustle of Kozhikode city in North Kerala, is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the state due to its vast landscape of small cliffs and coconut groves.

Construction work on the bamboo toilets, watch tower and stone walkway was completed in Cappadocia last year, subject to a Coastal Permit.
